Patti got the idea of arranging the objects of one colour by size. This was such fun that I’ve got 25 of them. Orrrange this!

Some of these objects would object to being called objects and are not really orange but rather yellowish or brown. Still I think they make a merry company all together like this. Thank you, Patti, for this fun challenge!
I also did my best to include some sort of scale for comparison. And sometimes sizes were hard to compare.
In other news, my chain with the golden key broke after having it for years and years and years. I didn’t lose the key though, which is good.
Yesterday Luka Dončić and Dallas Mavericks were eliminated from the playoffs even though he scored 46 points and made 14 assists.
Also yesterday I was in a newly found art garden where I met with my friend Donna, who had painted me (and had me exhibited in a gallery for a week two years ago), and she brought my portrait along and gifted it to me!
We did the two-hour tour of the exhibits in quite a crowd guided by the artist-in-residence, and imagined how it would be like to live there and create the world around us. I will show you the garden probably tomorrow.
And now, as R.E.M. and Dan’s cat would sing: “Follow meeee, don’t follow meee, I’ve got my spine, I’ve got my orange brush.” Here are my orange crushes from different years and seasons, from here – Tuscany – and there – Slovenia, mostly Piran, from largest to smallest.

The largest as can be. Sunset in lower Tuscany.
This house is larger than it looks from here. Certainly larger than a bus.
One of the first photos I took upon returning to Slovenia last June. “Alcohol is NOT a solution. It does not protect from the virus. It lowers resistance. It destroys relationships. It does NOT ease mental anguish.”
This machine might be longer than the bus but the orange part is smaller.
When we took a boat to search for dolphins in Piran. There were none to be seen, only these guys were chilling at an almost orange rest stop.
Spotted while waiting in line at our vet’s for a shot.
This fire was controlled and didn’t get any bigger than this.
Following father in Piran. That board was probably smaller than the fire and larger than the next object.
Well, almost orange. He entered our lives when amore brought him home exactly eight years ago today.
Hard to compare bestia and this mirror in size. Bestia wins by weight. This was in March.
Smaller than the mirror, with a lone insect.
This postbox remembers busier times. I love the flowers too.
Orange cones with more purple flowers In Piran.
This cat could probably hide in one of those cones. She is properly parked though.
My sister’s package from some time ago. The orange Poli is “No. 1 Chicken Sausage in Europe”. Nothing probable about it. The green stuff is tea.
The zucchini flower is almost orange but let’s concentrate on my slipper. Made by my friend Urša Nina.
The hoopoe could hide in the slipper. In the park near my home in Tuscany.
These are probably smaller than the bird but huge as peppers go. Amore filled them with minced meat, a bit differently than we do it in Slovenia.
Everything looks orange in Piran at golden hour. The Aperol Spritz, the beer, the lighter and the wall really are, though. And the straw!
Drunken peaches, soaked in wine, and a peach pastry at the Garlic and Wine Festival in Nova Vas, Slovenia.
Zucchini flowers get smaller but more orange after my father has his way with them.
A lovely meal with a friend in Finisterra, Ljubljana, last summer. Her fries are made from sweet potatoes, that’s why they are so orange.
My mom’s favourite in their Piran garden: lantana.
Some no-name balls from around here.
And finally, a little fellow that caught my eye on the sunlit wall.

Hi, Manja. I agree with Tina…a grand and diverse mexcessive collection. I love your orange cat and your dog, of course! The slipper is a great idea, too.

Thank you, Patti. 🙂 You brought out all this with your great challenge idea. I had 50 photos gathered at first. So you see, I did cull some. 😀

Stuffed peppers, yummy. Definitely different than how we do it.
Loved that sunset.

Thank you, Bojana. We had a funny week years ago when amore had to eat stuffed peppers in Slovenia three times by chance. I guess he wanted to show how it should be done in his opinion. 😀

Interesting and fun and amazing selections this week Manja! I couldn’t even organise myself to pick one colour. Maybe because it is freezing here where I am…

Ah, this is so YOU, Manja – and I love it! Bestia of course, and the cat, and the unknown balls… and so on – the last little one is a beauty as well. And your dear father!

Hi. You’ve got many excellent photos here. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I’m going to go with the one of your father walking the dog. It has a wonderful quality to it.
