We continue where we stopped last week on the way to discover Farnese in Lazio and its doors. There were two cool cats and then there were two on a door as well.

But first this: “Next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesn’t disappoint me just as much as this particular one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read through, however I actually thought you would have something interesting to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something you can fix if you were not too busy looking for attention.”
One would think that I have landed an unhappy blog surfer, but no, it’s a spam comment to a last year’s Thursday Doors post! (I know because I got many different spam comments under the same post with lots of doors and no whining.) They have obviously discovered that empty lambasting works better than empty praise, among some other new tactics such as begging you to reply to their comment. 😀 Good luck with that. All it did is give me a rare loud laugh these days, so I’m grateful. Still won’t click on anything though.
Be gentle to yourself and each other, the full moon is coming tomorrow. If you must turn into a werewolf, don’t let it out on your loved ones.
I don’t think I will go anywhere this weekend, so here is the memory of two weeks ago continued following the introductory post for the previous Thursday Doors. Flavia and I met in Farnese and this is how we went around.
Oh and if you know a good internet connection whisperer, I could use some of that. It keeps dying on us for five hours a day or more. Supposedly the pine roots are messing with the cables, and since this is Italy it may take a while. Like seven years.
And I had to mention this in my review of Fabrizio’s book Turn Left at Lenin’s Statue which is all that, and more. These days Central Asia feels farther than ever and yet this book brings it home.
But this is Farnese. Can you feel it? We are there yet.

Oh, what a glorious day it was.
This is where we stopped the last time.
So many doors, so little time. But wait! Look at the last one!
Ah, just perfect! And two cool cats reflected as well.
Two windows for Flavia.
The town continued under the arch. I love the balcony and the sun flag.
We realised that we needed to go up to reach the old town.
One more mini balcony. The door with the view.
Quite a particular setting.
The first door was a surprise. Blackboard door!
This one comes with its own firewood. And a broom.
Big door, small door, electric door, post door.
I promised to Flavia that I will only take photos of truly deserving doors.
But then each one seemed deserving.
See? It really wished to be noticed.
This one I proclaimed my future gallery doors.
Look at the view from my gallery. I wish!
Green, yellow, pink.
This one deserved an en face view.
Whereas this one deserves all the love. To be continued.
I love the cat door/gate. I don’t think the firewood delivery bloke was paid last time 😀 😀

Two cats, mini balcony, mini doors, green door, wooden doors – oh my, there are so many good ones today. MiMi and MuMu would never let me here the end of it if I didn’t say the two cats door was my favorite.

Haha, good to see that you’re well conditioned, Dan. 🙂 And I’m glad you found much to love. Thank you!

Laundry hanging out for all to see–oh, how I love it! Cat doors? Yes, please! Spammers–be gone! There is so much good stuff here, Manja!!

Thank you, Lois. 🙂 I’m glad that you got much from it. That laundry is always surprising and eye-catching to me as well, even though we do it in Slovenia too. But I think there is a law preventing it in Italian historic centres.

A beautiful day indeed with so many varied and interesting discoveries 🙂
Of course as soon as I saw the “Big door, little door, electric door…” shot, it instantly became my favourite.
About the spam, that’s a very different tactic being used than the one I’m experiencing. My blog has been ‘under attack’ since last winter by someone who has been trying to sneak in a comment with the same question in Spanish in many places on the blog. They are using bots because Aksimet is catching and filtering the comment from many different (fake) users dozens and sometimes hundreds of times a day. I clean out the spam folder and the next morning I can literally have 300 more.

Thank you, Norm. 🙂 I’m really glad you like that one. It made me smile too. Oh I know what you mean, I know this Spanish spammer too and it’s so boring! But I get not nearly as much spam as you do. And I’m really glad that Aksimet is catching it all before it gets to my blog, but I still get to review it and find bits that make me laugh.

Looks like a nice quiet town. I had a similar comment on one of my old posts, you thinks folks would have better things to do.

Thank you, Alice. It was a really nice town and day. I enjoy observing how they try to change the tactics. It’s scary in a way. I’m expecting to soon not be able to tell who is a real person.

The full moon? Oh no. No more sleeping for me.
These are gorgeous, Manja. I esp loved those cats.
Please continue.

How was your sleep, Bojana? You don’t sleep, I don’t eat. But for me it’s on purpose. Two and a half hours more… And thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying the tour. Not over yet.

Surprisingly, I had enough sleep, though I sleep badly when it’s full moon.
Glad it’s not over.

Hi – they are all deserving doors indeed!
And the one with firewood is pretty fun- like the arched kind of tunnel feeling

Hihih, yes, Prior, spam can be hilarious. Norm is doing well, yesterday he tweeted a wonderful loaf of bread he baked. I’m really glad that you went to look at the post from one year ago. It brings back that wonderful day. Thank you!

I completely enjoyed the 2020 post – and also enjoyed the link you gave us to Crystal’s post – I follow her but have not been there in a while
And glad to hear Norm is doing fine.
