Friendly Friday hereabouts

Whereabouts, thereabouts, hereabouts, all fine words. This time I’m taking the task set by Snow Melts Somewhere, because it was Friday, literally. This is here.

My Pinterest board was called Where I’m at. That was before I moved to Italy, when I was collecting other people’s doors instead of capturing my own (those doors are gathered on another board). But then I’ve landed and now I know – this is where I’m at.

I often post photos from around here but these are new. They were taken ten days ago just around the corner, in our summer retreat condominium where there is barely anybody living permanently but us. And then yesterday a new neighbour was playing the guitar and singing on the terrace. I salute you, new neighbour. It was lovely.

Oh, I wish to warn you that this coming Friday we meet right here on my blog since I will be hosting our beloved Friendly Friday photo challenge for Amanda who has an urgent and ardent task of changing her whereabouts in November. She will still call the theme, though. And then I’ll host again on the 22nd when it’s her turn. Everybody welcome!

  1. So lovely for you to share some more of your private world, Manja. It is always a delight to see. In my flurry, I almost forgot I had to advise the theme for the next Friendly Friday Challenge. I will send that along to to now as your post had given me an idea that I feel sure is original.

    1. Ahhh, SMSW, I’d love this most of all! But you know how it is: once here you would start noticing things such as mould forming everywhere that it’s impossible to win over, incredible emptiness (I like it fine but my mother, for example, says she’d go crazy), no hiking trails amid farms with fences so that I need to take the main road to reach the beach and Italians are not polite drivers, etc. If you are willing to bear all this for the weather, the air, the flora, the sky, the peace, the history, you are more than welcome. Just say and I’ll find you a place next to us. 🙂
