No, Friendly Friday is not leaving neither am I, I’m merely turning a new bunch of leaves with my new blog, Mexcessive.photo.blog. Sounds so pro.
And yet I’m the same as I ever was, showing my excessive twenty photos per post, and today Amanda says leaves for this week’s Friendly Friday photo challenge so leaves it shall be.
Turning a new leaf
I don’t recall ever making a leaf compilation so well called, Amanda. Here is what I came up browsing my archives. They are from here, Tuscany, and there, Slovenia, as it usually happens.
Have some happy leaves and a friendly weekend.

A Roman one that I forgot to include in the raindrop challenge.
It waited for me to take this shot, I swear. Parents’ garden in Piran, Slovenia.
An ensemble from our beach in southern Tuscany.
Also near there. A former beauty, now a pigeon house.
One of the diminishing vineyards around.
Just a lovely walk find.
Almost snow.
Again!
Spring is back.
Almost summer.
I always admire these leaves. They don’t seem real.
Our kind of hedge with a neighbour.
A hidden courtyard in Rome on an open-door day.
Happy sis in the jungle of Ljubljana Botanical Gardens.
Also there. Such variety.
And one more from there. Red.
Ljubljana street scene.
And another.
The last shot of the day in Ljubljana. Every time I read this as “Adult”.
One of this blog’s twelve header photos. Really. Refresh the main page and you can see them all.
For Friendly Friday Photo Challenge hosted by Amanda from Something to Ponder About: Leaves

I love all those changing seasons, breathing through this compilation! So many leaves you can find, if you want :))

I’ll learn this! 😉 Also, I’ve realised what I did: I named my blog similarly as you named yours. Mexploring, Mexcessive… I only see it now. Long live the M People! 😀

Oh, that’s true! But if you didn’t mention it, I wouldn’t maybe notice it 🙈😆 Viva la we!

What a lovely collection. The butterfly is the standout for me. Such unique coloring.

Thank you, Lisa. 🙂 It was a special moment with the butterfly. I talked to it without speaking. I asked it to stay put just a bit longer so that I went to take my camera. And it did.

It is such a hard choice to pick one photo that stands out above the rest, Manja. So many caught my eye. The mirror street scene, all the leaf photos, the blog header, and no surprise, the’almost snow.’
Reminds me of the little balls of snow that fell in Reykjavik when I was there. I was totally entranced by them. Thank you for sharing them so that others can enjoy their beauty.
Love the new blog too!

Thank you so much, Amanda. 🙂 I like to give this problem. 😉 These balls of snow are often found here in the winter. I prefer it to the other stuff. 😀

Real miniature snowballs are quite cute! I will look forward to seeing that whenever I visit Ljubljana- I think I got it right this time.

Ohh, in Ljubljana you will get the real snow in the winter. I was thinking common here in Tuscany. Ljubljana’s climate is much more continental. It’s 100 km from the sea.

Okay. So I will have to go to Tuscany too!! First world problems!! Lol! It is funny but I don’t associate snow with Tuscany at all.

Of course you will! 🙂 Not counting these balls, we only had one morning of proper snow in six years before it melted.

Ah! Then it is infrequent. Probably less frequent by the time I get there with global warming.

Interesting to “shoot” leaves. I seldom do, though I know I’m back home in France when I see the first trees with their leaves. Very different from here.

Well, there are times when not much else is around to shoot. 🙂 Oh, there are cats… Thanks!

Some of these really show your creative thinking when matching a photo to a theme. For example, I really loved the one of the leaves scattered across the paved lot. My fave is easily the very first one with the raindrops. I also love the butterfly shot right after it, and the courtyard in Rome.
