Catching Thursday by the tail… Today’s doors are one year old and I captured them on one of the hottest days last year in our regional capital in Tuscany, Grosseto.

I’m still in Slovenia, it’s balmy, fresh, green, calm, and my blog has stepped aside for the time being. But today is Thursday, it’s only proper to show you some doors.
Grosseto is a town you don’t visit just like that, by accident or by reputation. It’s a shame, really, because its historic old town is mighty pretty. I showed you this hot day trip already on my previous blog but I saved most of its doors for Thursdays that never came. Today is part one of Grosseto doors, overdue but better late than never.
I really like the #3 dark green door with the matching mailbox, or two. They must get a lot of mail.

Right, Lois? 🙂 I think this one is my favourite too. Such class. Thank you!

I like the arch doors and the arched entrances the best, but they’re all beautiful.

Thank you, Dan. I’m glad you like them, the effortless Italian doors.

There’s something about that door with the bike that gets me and also that meshed dungeon door…freaky but nice. Enjoy your holiday Manja!

Thank you so much, Teresa! I am, even though there was a storm today.

Such wonderful variety and colour within a couple of streets. 🙂 🙂 Glad you’re still enjoying a peaceful life at ‘home’, Manja.

Thank you, Bojana. I’ve seen some footage from Belgrade a few days ago but I don’t know if anything new happened. Quite incredible.

The protersters are just sitting in silence ( with transparents Sedi, ne nasedaj) before the provocateurs start doing what they have been doing every evening. It’s so obvious now. Pathetic.

I can just smile and nod knowingly, imagining what the place is like, as it has a similar look and feel as many of the old small towns in that part of Italy…sigh 🙂
I think the 36C + heat here at the moment may have an influence on me because I can almost feel the heat in these pics too.
For the record, the reflection of the cathedral is my favourite shot of the bunch.
Stay cool and keep enjoying your break 🙂

Wow! 😮 I’m not following news much and I haven’t heard of this. In Canada as hot as in Tuscany! 😮 😮 😮 Whereas here in Slovenia it doesn’t cross 30. Incredible. You must become used to all kinds of temperatures like some super heroes! Thank you, Norm. On that day it was around 40. You’re almost there!

I’d love to visit Grosseto just to see all the doors! Amazing. Hope you stay cool and safe!

Thank you, Brenda! 🙂 I recommend another season though. Summer is hard to take! Here in Slovenia it’s much milder, especially today after a storm.

I ABSOLUTELY feel the heat in these photos! I was feeling it before you even asked! Green door for me — I hope it’s full of cold air and ice cold drinks! Hah!

It should be just that behind every green door. Thanks, Joey. Heat is hot and it’s hear.
