Last year I spent the whole of July in Slovenia, mostly in Ljubljana, my city of birth. Amore was able to join me only at the end of the month. On the evening of today’s photos we had a nice stroll by the river and pizza at Trta, and then had to rush to catch a small open-air concert.
Bestia was happy that finally it was not as hot any more, I was happy that I had both my pack members with me and that we were going to a concert, my first since the pandemic, and even though we were in a hurry, I could still capture images of happy dogs and other kinds of joy that graced the sidewalk on the banks of the Ljubljanica river.
Not only is the featured photo vaguely in the colours of Swedish flag, but Ann-Christine will be happy to see two photos towards the end of the gallery. With dogs the world is really more wonderful.
No captions today, just enjoy it. Welcome to Ljubljana.
This day in my blogging history

What gorgeous views you capture–even when they are your views of other people’s views. Thanks for sharing your day.

Oh, Judy, so good to have you here. I was thinking of you all Saturday but then failed to send you my birthday greetings. I will always know that you celebrate with my father. 🙂 The day I share in this post is one year old and I can’t wait to be back in my city again. Instead I’m still baking myself here in Tuscany. Thank you and best wishes. ❤

Wonderful, Leya, I feel all this love!! Thank you! ❤ That is a Lagotto 100%, that's why I dedicated this post to you. I love it how happy they both are, the dog and the owner. Have a lovely time at your summer house!

Your post has made me happy. Thank you. If only all billboards were as beautiful to look at as the ones in your photos. Here’s to Ljubljana and wishing you safe and healthy wherever you are.

Thank you kindly, Atreyee! Oh, Ljubljana has its share of ugly ad monsters too, no worries. But these really hit the spot. I’m still in Tuscany and it’s hot, but soon to Slovenia, I do hope. All well to you!

These photos are all so happy. Your wish really does come true because it’s automatic for me to look at this post and feel happy. That was a gift. Thank you. Funny that you say you had your pack all together. It reminds me of a favourite line from the movie Ice Age. Sid the sloth says, “I don’t know about you guys, but this is the strangest herd I’ve ever seen.” It’s made up of a sloth, a mammoth, a saber-toothed tiger, and a human baby. Sounds like my kind of herd. What wonderful news that you went to a concert! I am looking forward to immersing myself in arts again as soon as I can.

Oh, Crystal, I’m so glad that these made you happy. ❤ This is why I share my glimpses, so that you all can have something good out of them too. I don't remember this line from Ice Age, should watch it again. This concert was last July and it was in the city street! Nothing since! And you haven't been to any such small outdoor performance all this time?

I have not! Not yet! It seems like it should be soon though. It’s the right season and I know performers are eager to perform once more.

I love the feelings the signs bring to passerbys. I would walking along that street. And to stop at Pasta Mia for lunch would make for a perfect day. yes…what a wonderful world. Donna

Sounds excellent, Donna. 🙂 Just that the photos in the post are from one country, Ljubljana, whereas Pasta Mia is in Siena, Italy, some 6 hours away. But you’re used to longer distances. 😉 Thank you!

Ahhh yes, I realize that now. I knew the photos were a collection of many places, and I still love the ambience of all of it, AND I love Italian food!
