Even though my blog has been more or less on hold, I remembered Bushboy’s last photo challenge and was curious which photo was the last I took this June.
I was glad to see it was this one:

I know that for this challenge no words are necessary, but I wish to note that just recently I saw a Facebook thread in which people were telling how a voracious reader is called in various languages. I commented that in Slovenian those who swallow books are called book moths. Not long after I saw this in a Piran library window. It says: “Reads as a woodpecker.” I thought: Oh! I must add this one to the list. It was much later that I realised the joke: the expression is actually “drinks as a woodpecker”.

Thank you, Martina. 🙂 Is there any similar expression in your language for those who love to read? Or drink?

Yes! It’s the same as in yours – knihomoľ – meaning book moth in Slovak.

And in Slovenian it’s knjižni molj. 😀

In Russian language, a person who reads a lot can be called a “bookworm”.
