Today I finally delve into the doors of Vitorchiano, officially one of the prettiest Italian towns. And it was not even on my list.
This was one of our field trips with Flavia in January, and on this one we were joined by her friend who is a local from nearby Viterbo, north of Rome, in the Lazio region of Italy.
After the lovely Villa Lante in Bagnaia (I’ve had several posts from there, follow the tag Villa Lante) we drove a short distance to have lunch in the restaurant Zafferano which Flavia’s friend knew. It was a most excellent and pretty choice. Then we proceeded on foot to the town Vitorchiano which I hadn’t ever heard mentioned before.
Soon it became clear that there would be plenty of clicking with Thursdays in mind. There will be many more posts, this is only the initial impression. Welcome!
As for here and now – nothing has changed. We are still not going anywhere. You’ll be the first to know when this changes. At least the mask is not obligatory any more if you don’t go near other people. Ah well…
But it’s alright. Doors will wait.
And then they were coming from left and right so fast that all I could do was click. To be continued.
