Today I wish to celebrate my uncle, father’s kid brother, who by some error of years turns seventy today. How can that even be?

Well, considering the fact that I’ll be fifty in two weeks, it’s about right. But still!
The cake above was for your brother when he turned seventy five years ago. Here are some more moments from our recent history because our present is waiting for us to join it. You visited me in Tuscany once and I do hope you return with your Jelka this time. It won’t be always like this.

This is mak, poppy in Slovenian. And the first three letters in our surname.
Father’s cake for his seventy five years ago.
It started with these too. These smiles we carry forward.
The house in Piran started out this way. Your brother is telling you where he would be cooking.
All built. You are on the ladder. Our first dog Žak is chilling.
During your visit over here in 2014. Capalbio on the hill.
This Norwegian is far from home…
We are overdressed. Terme di Saturnia.
The wow effect of Pitigliano.
Back to Piran. Double trouble! My only two uncles: father’s brother on the left, mother’s brother on the right.
Such nice smiles. This was the celebration of my father’s 70. Mother is so happy.
A stroll around Piran with Jelka who is climbing. Italy across.
And finally, one from last November, with my sister and my only cousin, your daughter.
Happy birthday, Rajko! All well to you with much health and good times and thank you for everything.
What a family of smilies you are.

Thank you, Bojana! ❤ But we also know how to look really ugly. 😀
