This day in my blogging history
2015: Artists are people driven by the tension between the desire to communicate and the desire to hide. ~Donald Woods Winnicott 2019: A musing on art with a compilation of “arty” shots and a poem:
What is art
but being
who you are
standing
where you are
doing
what you do
and shouting:
Is there anybody out there?
Love the Ljubljana architecture, Manja… and your ‘arty’ image has a certain distressing something….

Thank you, Sue, I’m glad that you can feel it too. I can’t put my finger on it. Ahh, Ljubljana, I miss it. One more month or so…

What an insightful post. And a great combination of photos and words that support each other.

Thank you, Claudia. I was lucky that on this day in the past I posted things that go together this well. I’ve been doing this for a month now, this daily look back through my eight years of blogging, and it’s been quite satisfying.

I am enjoying as well, and find it then prompts me to think back over the years as well, as to what I was doing or experiencing.

STUNNING photos. I love the poetic perspective of the first one, just gorgeous! And something so feminine about the squished tomatoes at the end echoing the red of the nail polish on the toes. Great arty quotes and arty poem 🙂

Jesse–I haven’t heard that song in years. And I love that last poem. Perfect! (K)

Thank you, K. 🙂 This song spells happiness to me, even though it sounds so sad.
