Day 12: Triolet & Last Photo

Today I again wrote a new shape of poem. With it I post two last photos, one of March and one of April 3rd, because Bushboy asks for it.

Prompt 12: “I’d like to challenge you to write a triolet. These eight-line poems involve repeating lines and a tight rhyme scheme.”

First time to hear of it, again. The scheme is ABaAabAB. Crystal clear, right? But that’s okay, I like to learn and try new things. Here is my not really peaceful triolet.

Violent act

What poets do is far from freedom fight
and poetry is such a violent act.
They plot, kill, murder using all their might,
what poets do is far from freedom fight.
We’d think that they do nothing else but write.
But you see wounds and wound yourself, in fact
what poets do is far from freedom fight
and poetry is such a violent act.

And now to the photo part. Bushboy posts his challenge at the start of every month, asking us to post the last photo taken with our cameras or phones in the past month.

I have expressed my hope to forget about this challenge on the last day of the month so that my last photo is a spontaneous affair and not taken purposefully. This month my hope came true. I completely forgot about this challenge, and when I was reminded of it ran to see what my last photo taken in March looked like. It cracked me up when I saw it. It was this one:

Only then I realised that Bushboy had changed the rules. This month we are to post the last photo taken on April the 3rd! Naughty! 😀 Here it is, not really remarkable and unedited, but I obey.

And finally, here you go, Easter eggs and mask, both in one. Happy Easter, vesela Velika noč, buona Pasqua!

  1. You did well with the poem Manja 🙂 Great last photos. Bestia and Amoure a great last one. I did say I might change the date 😀 😀 I love that silhouette. The cartoon is a good one for a very different Easter this year. Thanks for joining in and hopefully you will forget again 🙂 🙂

  2. They plot, kill, murder. It’s true. It’s why I am in love with words. You can do anything with words: fight a war, turn the world upside down, sock someone in the gut or blow their hair back from their face. You can cause gales of laughter, light bulbs to flash to life, tears. You can make people stop in their tracks. And gasp. Words are the best construction medium. I think.
