Night and day: before, now. Night and day: freedom, limits. Night and day: healthy, sick. Behind closed doors.

I will not say much more (I said enough in my previous post) but rather present to you some doors from my Ljubljana, far and empty now, a couple of which get the double treatment: in night time and in daylight.
Norman is asking us if Thursday Doors should take a break. It seems that I was the only one who agreed to a pause, most of you preferred to keep them going. This is lovely to see. Let’s keep our door spirit up!
I’ve got plenty more doors to post without having to go out, no worries, it’s just that – how I shall put it – this is no time to be excessive. And looking back in my archives can make me really sad, or maybe today was just such a day.
But this is night time speaking, maybe I should wait for the day.

A friend told me to go check out the doors of this castle, Grad Kodeljevo. I wonder if she meant this door. I couldn’t find any other worth mentioning.
All the other photos are from the old centre of Ljubljana. Amore in the night.
Did somebody sleep here?
Blurry blurry night.
What a difference a little day makes.
Night. What is this dark rectangle in the middle?
Day. Oh, it’s a door. Secondary School for Design and Photography will have to move out of here, I hear.
More night portals.
I’m certain I have a day shot of this one as well.
A night door is a completely different matter. Stuff for films.
This was in the afternoon with low light.
This is the back door of NUK, National and University Library. The horse handles that I posted recently were from its main door. Architect Jože Plečnik had a bit of fun.
Yoga door.
I must finish with sunlight. Delicatessen.
A beautiful set of night to day doors. Your collection is so vast!

Breathe in, breathe out…one breathe at a time, one day at a time. Sending you lots of positive energy, smiles, and big big hugs my friend.

Thank you so much, Norm! I’m really glad that so many others have voices their preference to remain. Even if I didn’t feel it at first, making this post ready cheered me up as always. I’m afraid you’re right, this will be a long process. Who knows what all is coming. Hugs right back.

No worries about that, Joey. There are entire towns that I have not showed yet, doorwise. 🙂

Lovely set. A friend of mine was in Ljubljana in November and told me I should go as well. I was thinking about it for May, along with Northern Italy, then you know what happened. Oh well.

Ahh. I should be in Slovenia in May too and celebrate my five-oh. Oh well… But great to hear, chances are good for the future. And thank you!!
