Oh, I like such challenges when one glance is enough and I’ve got thirty photos immediately reddy.

Admittedly, I didn’t go out to snap these now but rather had a look at my archives – since Patti allows this too for her Lens-Artists photo challenge – and chose those that stood out the most or have intimate value.
This time I didn’t stop at twenty but allowed thirty in because I really like them. There are many flowers, unsurprisingly, but poppy is not the only flower, neither is cherry the only fruit nor bestia the only bestia. And there are certain special red shoes. I hope you like them too.

The most recent one of these: the sunset reflection in the sea early this year.
Admit it: without the windows you could believe it was a bar. The church in Pertoča, Slovenia.
The artist is mom’s cousin. Beautiful Life, by DHS.
This jolly Swiss chard always makes me buy it.
You’ve seen this Japanese Maple in my uncle’s garden in Ljubljana already. This was in August.
And this is December in Rome. Really.
Late May in Tuscany. There is strength in numbers.
Even though only one poppy puppy is cute too.
Bottlebrushes are folding out in May too, earlier than poppies. Such joy.
This is not Slovenia, so these are not carnations. In Rome it’s… geraniums?
I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose wall but here it is. From Tatti.
I don’t know its name but I love the shade of red and heart shapes. Ljubljana Botanical Garden.
Also in Ljubljana in the last sun.
Whereas this bougainvillea is nearby and I’d have exactly this colour too if I could choose. (I mean, I can choose, but things die on me, especially when we are not home.)
Sometimes I wish to wear the designs from my photos. This fellow can. By Alan Hranitelj, Slovenian costume designer. Exhibition “Parallel Worlds”, Ljubljana.
Perpetuum Jazzile during their winter outdoor 2017 Ljubljana show. The backdrop changed with each song. This was for their cover of Uprising by Muse.
How to go around in Ljubljana on the Ljubljanica river.
My friend’s birthday arrangement. I had more or less all of these documents too.
Cherries are not the only fruit but my favourite. Uncle has them in his garden in Ljubljana.
Not fruit, but uncle has her too.
Freshly opened pomegranate in Rome in October.
Prickly pears in Tuscany in September. Too dark to be still good to eat.
Bestia, often. The bedspread is from Morocco, courtesy of my uncle. The Levi Strauss bag is a present from California.
A smaller bestia in Žužemberk castle.
Orbetello carnival has it.
Nothing unlucky about this Piran door.
Shoes for mother, bought on a hunch. They fit perfectly.
My beloved skirt and boots, both deceased by now. Stomping in Firenze.
Inside a Niki de Saint Phalle statue in her Tarot Garden (Giardino dei tarocchi). This Saturday again, I do hope.
Like this. Also there.
For Lens-Artists Photo Challenge, hosted by Patti at P. A. Moed: Find something red
A fiery parade from you – as usual, Manja! My smile is planted in my face for the evening – and a favorite I have (impossible really, but…) “Freshly opened pomegranate in Rome in October. ” Everything is perfect in that photo. ♥

Thank you, Leya. I’m so glad to help plant a smile. 🙂 I saw your wonderful pomegranate and Leslie Su has it too for this challenge. No wonder, it’s a fierce fruit.

Beautiful Life it is.
I love your Decembers. I can’t pick, honestly. These are so good: those flowers, sunsets, that girl, the lady-bug, just wonderful.
A girl has to have red shoes. Period.

Thank you, Bojana. As always, no need to pick. Have it all. 🙂 Long time no red shoes for me, but mom is rocking them.

Wow! The name didn’t ring any bells so I googled it and the first link I found said: “If you don’t know who I am, watch this” 😀 So I did and was amazed to discover that she is the singer of I Am Woman, a song that I discovered only recently and included it in my last playlist. Funny! Thanks!
