Cin cin, amore! As every year, you have to fight for your right to celebrate your birthday with that other guy, but I wish to celebrate you.

First the sweet song that says love does exist, and I have chosen.
Another year has passed and here it is in images of together times.

Let’s start at last year’s Christmas, spent in Rome like all seven since I arrived.
You had to wrangle these mini monsters for the first time. For this year you got yourself a special knife.
When we visit Rome, it’s like this. The owner of this bed better look away.
We went on a stroll and a door hunt around town.
In February you calmed bestia during the carnival in Orbetello. The loud sound system didn’t agree with him.
More sea dwellers and broccoli. Yum.
In May we went to Slovenia for my birthday and had lunch with my family at the Kodeljevo castle in Ljubljana. They want us to eat our hearts out.
With my sister we also ate in TaBar which came highly recommended. It didn’t disappoint.
The weather was terrible all week. On the right is Slovenian Parliament, and what this hashtag #hatebetter means you can find out for yourselves.
Peace for these Union dragon beers (not our doing, the emptying). At Livada for my friend’s big birthday.
The ad invites us to meet at the beer fountain. It’s a real fountain but in another town, Žalec. Next time.
A professional cameraman lent us a couple of his cameras since I’d forgotten mine at home. So nice of him. You look very pro too.
On the hottest day of the year (42 degrees C) we visited Massa Marittima since Donna Stiles had her first painting exhibition there.
It was the loveliest day.
Let’s not spoil it. An inside joke. I made you stand here to take this photo.
In the summer it was back to Slovenia. We spent a great day in the Pannonian, NE part of the country with an old found-again friend. Here we are on the top of the Vinarium tower in Lendava.
You and a good door and some art on the side is (almost) all I need.
In the villa My Peace in Fokovci. My friend’s friends make their own juices and sell them with many other natural products under the brand Vidov brejg.
You were not shy to try this mineral water at the source but probably wished to change your mind during it. I didn’t dare to try it after seeing your reaction.
On a visit to a friend who one month later returned us the visit in Tuscany with her pack (minus the cat).
Here we are drinking limoncello and you immediately found another hothead to calm down.
On the lookout over Lake Burano. A couple of months later it was severely flooded with the rising sea and we wouldn’t be able to climb this.
In November we returned to Slovenia to celebrate my parents’ love for each other. It was lovely. You fit in nicely.
The hilarious unexpressed opinion about the quantity before you. (Over all, there was enough of food and quality was exceptional but this is how it went. Step by step.)
Back home. You call me to take a photo if you see something like this. “There is a strange bag here. Boog. Bug!”
Your favourite band. You put this cover here and it remained. A sing of the times.
If love goes to seed, let it. This is our spare doormat in front of the guest room. Humidity is such that it came alive.
After a terrible storm there was this view. As if to tell us that everything will be alright. Bestia agrees.
And my wish? That you’d agree to go with me to this little forest, Bosco della Patanella, by the Orbetello lagoon because I wish to show you this sunset.
Amore, I wish you all that you deserve but sometimes don’t believe you do. Cin cin, ‘na sdraia e grazie per esistere!
Happy Birthday to your amore! The ‘unexpressed opinion’ photo made me laugh! So you went to dinner after dinner? 🙂 Merry Christmas to you, Manja!

Thank you so much, Lois. 🙂 He can be lots of fun. This lunch was so long that dinner was out of the question. 😀

Ha! Interesting indeed! I love such coincidences. I’ll have a look at your post most gladly, I have found it yet. You two certainly look happy and us two are as well, at least generally and most of the time. I wish happy birthday to him and a great time in the next year as well to you and your lovely family. Thanks for all your kind words.

Thanks for your wishes! I did finally post it this afternoon after a lot of editing! The man was very embarrassed, though happy:)

Oh how charming! Happy birthday to your amore 🙂 I love the ‘love goes to seed’ mat — really, truly, love that bit. Also really want some oysters now, and I will also pass on the mineral water from the source 😉

Love to hear it, Joey. We were in Rome again for the sea food Christmas. I must confess that I only had three oysters and it was plenty. Mineral water we let be and had all sorts of wines instead. Cin cin!

Thanks, Bojana. Fun was had. And sea food. And lamb the next day. And a fun walk with Flavia (you know, the one with Ljubljana dragons). And the cat and the dog didn’t fight (maybe also because they were kept apart at meal times). All in all, a success. Wish you many of those as well.

Happy Birthday to your Amore!! It is a competition to celebrate a birthday when everyone’s attention is diverted. You are of course sweet enough to shower him in adoration. These photos are wonderful. I also liked the doormat sprouting, and Bestia’s nose high in the air at the end. So many wonderful photos of your Amore, and you (which I love more because I know you better), and those that you both love. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate with you. ❤

Ahh, thank you so much, Crystal. We love to celebrate with you! ❤ Plenty of fun was had, I was off the comp for three days (the longest in a long while), we did a walk with the fellow blogger Flavia for the first time, we had plenty of family, food and dog-cat-separating fun, and all in all it was a great celebration. I hope you had one of these as well and it's not over yet. Let it last!
