After a while I’m again hopping on Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. I have plenty of flower photos to share and with Cee flowers are never far away.

When I finished selecting June photos for my 2020 Calendar series, for which I post twenty photos from the same month last year, I had 170 photos gathered. Only one day in all last June passed in which I didn’t take a single photo. Imagine that.
The first part of it I spent here in my home in Tuscany and then my sister came to pick me up and take me to Slovenia. I really hope for something similar to happen this year.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge on the topic of flowers comes just in time. In this way I can use 22 of my June 2020 photos neatly gathered in this post. And there are some flowery memories in my blogging history at the end too.
All my flower photos happen by chance, I never premeditate it. But I pass and they are pretty – what else can I do?
Roughly the first part of the gallery is from southern Tuscany where I live, and the second is from Piran on the Slovenian coast in my mother country where I spent the first two weeks upon arrival with only my parents around. You know, quarantine.
And the flowers? The flowers are different but happy no matter where I go. And now off to a new Giardino, just that there art is growing in place of flowers.
A rose neighbour which I followed through its life cycle. Morning glory with two tenants. I find these blossoms so pretty but so hard to photograph. As if they are only barely there. Don’t know what but it looks like a microphone. Snails get on everything. Like this. I thought that this year was especially snail-crazy, but now I see that last year was similar. The most common wildflower around here but not such a common sighting. These are more numerous but hard to catch. Don’t know what but mighty pretty. Blackberries, I believe. These are tiny but highly eye-pleasing. My favourite shade of oleander. This year this bush is not nearly as full. Everything has been happening a bit later than usual. The last from Tuscany. No tricks involved. It was 9 pm and my camera could detect the last sun they contained. A hop to Slovenia. Piran with the view of Croatia across the bay. Lavender, I presume. This butterfly had been in a fight. Roses caught on the dog walk. Spotted by the road too. These are artichokes and you must decide: either you eat them in time or you get such a pretty flower. To my parents’ garden now. This is purple coneflower. This is a zucchini flower and what my father does to them is not for the faint-hearted but good for your tummy. Still in the garden of Eden and Druga. Nasturtium, the internet says. Or Tropaeolum. (First time I hear either word. In Slovenian it’s kapucinka.) This clivia was a gift from amore’s father and his Roman garden. I could observe it slowly open over two weeks. It’s a happy transplant, like me. I love it how they hang their flowers in Piran. On doors too, like this. So I get two in one. I hope soon again.

Thanks, Bushboy. This is a test. Let’s see if I can post here a single photo from my FB. This was 3 days ago.
Yeah!! After some trials and errors it works!! See below. But it’s not from FB, I uploaded the photo to WordPress Media and then copied it here.

Was there supposed to be a photo in the comments

Yes, indeed! There is a photo in the comment under yours. At least I hope you can see it. It’s a wooden pole completely covered with snails.

Pack?
(We were in Serbia for the second jab, then stayed longer than planned. Mom got sick and it’s not looking good. Just got back. I’ll have to go there again soon…)

Pack as in… hm… in Slovenian it’s krdelo, in Italian branco. You know, a pack of wolves. I meant your family. So sorry about your mom. 😦

Ah, that one. We caught some virus along the way, don’t ask.
As for my mom, I fear the worst and want to keep my faith, regardless. It’s incredible how your life turns upside down in a second. It’s fucking hard. I still need my mom.

These are all such beautiful photos, but especially the sunflowers! Oh, and those snails…… I have seen one or two on our sidewalks, but not near the number of them you have. For that I am thankful.

Thank you, Lois. I’m not sure if you can see the photo that I posted in a separate comment higher up. It shows the snail situation this year. Hard to believe.

I’m in awe of your snails and sunflowers – I thought snails only liked dark moist spaces but that’s quite a crop!

Thank you, Elizabeth. This year the snails are especially bountiful. Did you also see the photo in the comments? That one is from this year. Sunflowers were a surprise. I thought it was too dark to take photos.
