My previous blog did not even last one year, that’s why I was left in the middle of my Calendar 2018 series and must start on this blog with September.

As is my habit, every month I have a look at the same month one year earlier and select twenty photos that in one way, or another, stand out.
Let’s see what caught my eye one year ago. I arrived from the summer spent in Slovenia back home to Tuscany where it was still hot. My uncle stayed with us at the start of the month, and at the end we hosted a special Canadian travelling couple. Suffice to say, they were adooorable.
I went from rainy Ljubljana… …to dry Maremma. Street art, Monte Argentario style. Favourite Porto Ercole bar. The Night of the Pirates is still waiting to be experienced. A hop to Rome and its pool place. (I don’t play, I just liked the image.) You tell me what this is. Happy September balls. Then arrived the Canadians. I picked them up in Orvieto. Notice Banana Joe. Orvieto icon in the setting sun. Yes, it’s a boar. The next day it was time for the Pitigliano wow factor. Also there. Pitigliano is the place to go. His favourite part of the meal no doubt. Pitigliano miracle. Snow from the blue sky? Nah, neither the ashes from a volcano. Just a dirty window. Day three in Massa Marittima. This kind of views I could never get enough. Or this one. Welcome to Tuscany. Massa Marittima is steeper than it feels. In front of the Massa Marittima Cathedral. I like it how they root for different teams but are still friends. San Galgano Abbey is just behind me. This view couldn’t wait. The Rotonda above the abbey. It holds a sword in stone. I’d love to be this cat.
